Bio

There is teaching stuff, and there's teaching stuff. I have been in the business long enough to know the difference. Have you? Seriously, I have been a teacher, department chair, supervisor in three different states and teaching is pretty much the same everywhere. There are good things and bad things and some that are not worth discussing. I enjoy the profession but not always the people. I came to the profession late after having been in two other jobs for significant periods of time and have stayed because it was the most rewarding. Even when I am exceptionally frustrated, I still wouldn't trade teaching for another job. I have been in an urban, inner-city school for 17 years now and am still learning and growing. How much better can I do?
